General Reminders:
General Reminders:
- Statement from the Florida Federation State Board of Directors, “Any parent or teacher who disobeys or verbally abuses a Festival Official or Judge will have their child/student subject to disqualification pending review of the board.”
- National Rule: No Photography or Video Taping Permitted
- Parents may NOT contact the Local or State Festival Chairmen! Contact Student’s Teacher instead!
- For a successful Festival, there are many essential positions that must be filled. Teachers entering students are expected, if called upon, to volunteer a minimum of 3-4 hours.
- Teachers, we also need adult and student volunteers to help in the Federation Cup room, be runners, greeters at the door, registration, etc. This is a wonderful way for students to earn Community Service Hours.
- During the Festival, please do not discuss ratings with Students or Parents.
- Teachers may not split their Jr. Club between Jr. Festivals. Teachers must select one Jr. Festival in which all of the Juniors/Adults will participate.
- Festival Repertoire and guidelines can be located in the NFMC Junior Festival Bulletin 2017-2020. To receive a Festival Bulletin, call Jennifer Griffin at (317) 882-4003.
- TEACHERS & PARENTS are NOT to approach, talk to the judges or make Adjustments to the bench or instrument in which a student is performing. Any adjustments that need to be made, need to be made by the student. If the student needs help, they may ask the Monitor. This is to create an environment of equality for all participants and also keep the event running in a timely manner.
